Not as good as the 5.11s
Just bought both these and the 5.11s. My wife used these and I used the latter. After a rugged trek both sets had signs of normal use and abuse, but one of the 5.5s got a pretty noticeable bend in the mid section. Not enough to make the pole unusable (just hard to collapse). I don't know if there is a thicker wall to the 5.11s, but mine are fine, and I'm putting more weight on mine then she was on the 5.5s. All in all, though, we'll never go anywhere without them again!

These poles were a lifesaver when backpacking in the Grand Canyon! Very Durable. I won't hike without them in the future.
