The Men's Tau Pant from Arc'teryx has a smooth look and a soft interior. By adding smooth hardface technology to trusted Polartec Wind Pro, Arc'teryx has developed a more durable pant for layering or stand alone use. Hardfaced Polartec resists pilling and wear and stands up to rough use longer than its predecessors. Still stretchy and soft on the inside, this new fleece works harder to maintain your core temperature during stop-and-go activities in mixed weather. Arc'teryx adds laminated cargo-pockets to hide a few bills for a hot drink on the way home. Ultimate sweatpants for rich climbers!
These pants are awesome for keeping warm during active pursuits. Warmer than most windstopper type fleece because the inside is fleecy and the outside is smooth. They block wind and are tougher than fleece. Pockets are only good for small things, maybe chapstick and a credit card. They layer well, fit awesome and Arc'teryx quality cannot be beat.

This pant can be worn alone or under a hardshell. It's perfect simply.
