Asolo Power Matic 400 GV Backpacking Boot - Men's

Truly a great boot!
I've been a huge fan of Asolo for many years and I purchase a new pair of boots yearly, so I've owned many pairs. The 400's have proven to be the best yet. These are extremely comfortable and fit well. I have had no issues during the break in period. I deliver Pepsi for a living so I trudge soda through the worst imaginable conditions and the boots have performed tremendously. My feet stay warm and dry. My only complaint is lack of traction on wet smooth surfaces, but thats a tall order for any boot.

Need Good Socks
Good shoes, my first pair of backpacking shoes. Only wore them twice so far, first time was with a sock that was a little too big for me and a blister was developing on my heel. Second time I used a sock that fit perfectly and had no problems. The shoes are fairly stiff so buy good fitting socks or you will get blisters. I hope they get a little softer though.

Excellent light boots
The Power Matic 400 GV are really a good pair of boots. I thought they were comfortable and resistant. They were sent on time. Both store and boots are recommended.

ouch
I wore these during for a month in New Zealand, and on the second day of my first trek I got a quarter-sized blister on one heel, the next day I got one to match the other heel. By the end of the trip I lost 3 toenails, 2 grommets (off the boot) and could barely walk without popping 800mg of Advil. 9 months later I still have scars. Yes, I did break them in. No, my toes didn't touch the front of the boot.
