Big Agnes Lost Ranger Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Brand : Big Agnes
Item : BAG0034

The Big Agnes Lost Ranger Sleeping Bag is a super light, 3-season, 650-fill goose down bag. Rated to 15F, the Big Agnes Lost Ranger packs to 2/3 the size of comparable down bags. Down is the lightest, most packable, and most efficient insulation available. Big Agnes makes sleeping bags without insulation on the bottom of the bag because down and synthetic insulation compressed by your weight loses virtually all of its insulating value. Instead, Big Agnes puts a sleeve in the bag floor into which you slide your sleeping pad, and the top 2/3 of the bag is insulated like a traditional sleeping bag. This system offers several major advantages: 1. An air or foam mattress provides more warmth than compressed insulation. 2. You're guaranteed never to roll off your sleeping pad in the middle of the night. 3. It reduces overall weight of the bag, and therefore your pack. 4. The bag and pad can be stuffed together for compact packing. *Compatible with any 20in wide rectangular sleep pad.

Big Agnes Lost Ranger Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Big Anges - Lost Ranger Bag
The bag is all that I hoped for! I'm a big guy and it fit perfectly. Easy to roll over and zip up. Got iced up on a trip last month; water froze, buddies froze, but I was warm and toasty. Stuffs well and is really light. Best bag I have ever owned! Great price and customer service too!

Big Agnes 15 Degree Down Bag
Made July backpack trip in Cascades. Bag worked fine at lower elevations, but was barely adequate above 7500 ft. Would rate this bag as excellent in more casual camping, but not ready for temperatures below freezing. Regular size fits me at 6 feet, but any taller needs the long size.

Great sleeping system
Big Agnes has a another winner here! I previously purchased the insulated inflatable sleeping pad. Now I bought the Lost Ranger sleeping bag and also the inflatable pillow. Wow! Most comfortable sleep ever. Also can keep the pad and pillow in the sleeping bag at all times and inflate when needed. All three fit perfectly in my backpack and can all be compressed together. No extra storage bags and no extra weight.

Big Agnes Lost Ranger
Its pretty amazing how quickly this bag gathers warmth. Quality construction, and very light. The pads you must use with them are nice, but not as light or easy to use as a Thermarest. Overall, very good.
