The Liberty uses a piezo-electric ignition system and doesn't have to be primed, preheated, or otherwise prepared, except to screw it onto a butane fuel canister. The Liberty is efficient too, good for up to six hours. *Piezo ignition at altitudes below 8,000, feet. Bring a lighter for higher altitude trips.

cool tool
it puts off adequate light for the back country, ignites well and is quite compact. I don't mind using my headlamp everywhere so it's not a necessity to me. but if you prefer otherwise, i highly recommend it, as i feel the quality is high and functions well (my educated assumption after limited use).
