Head Snowboards USA Intelligence I. CT Snowboard

Brand : Head Snowboards USA
Item : HEA0120

Head uses microchip technology to drastically increase the Intelligence I. CT Snowboard's responsiveness on the most technically demanding freeriding. An integrated Intelligence Chip reads terrain conditions and speed to instantly make the board stiffer or softer to match your riding demands. As speed and vibration increases, the Intelligence I. CT Snowboard responds by stiffening its flex to reduce chatter and provide better edge control. A sintered IS Nano base provides ridiculous speed, control, and durability, and a 3cm stance setback gives you excellent float in the powder.

Head Snowboards USA Intelligence I. CT Snowboard

Awesome
It performs as advertised. Corners like its on rails - never chatters. Very quick side to side and flies down the hill. Light and has been very durable so far (4 hard days). It is a little spendy, but you can really tell when the system is working. Fair warning - it can stiffen up under certain conditions and can bury the nose unexpectedly. Otherwise, it's wonderful.

What can I say...
What can I say? I'd been riding a T2 for two years, and a Misfit for one, but this just blows everything else away. I'm a west black to double black boarder who does everything from powder trees to high speed groomers, and this board does it all. The Intelichip built in is NOT a gimic. It works! Today I was hard on my toe edge ( I ride goofy) and hit just a string of horrible tightly packed bumps. The first one threw me a bit, but as soon as I landed the system adjusted the board perfectly. Without it I would have been in the trees. It's a pretty stiff board, more then I was expecting. It doesn't do too well in the powder, but no worse then my T2 I'm usually not a fan of Head, but in this case they've outdone themselves

wow
SO, I bought this board not truly undertsanding what the intelligence chip is, and to be honest, I still don't really get it and would love a more detailed example of HOW it works... After having ridden an Apocalypse, and Burton, I'm very surprised by how great this board is, it's just how one should naturally feel... it adjusts so you don't have to, pretty nice... SO I'm told that electricity in it grounds in the snow? But I can only recommend this board.
