Icebreaker has no equal
Icebreaker is the perfect clothing for anyone who moves in the outdoors. I wore a single lightweight long sleeve shirt for a week long mountain biking trip from Telluride to Moab, and it kept me comfortable in temperatures from 50-90F, blocked the sun, and didn't hold any odor for the entire week! The Rock Zip does the exact same thing in a slightly different temperature range. 30-65F, depending on how you layer. I carry less clothing on multi-days than ever, because two layers of Icebreaker and a shell cover such a wide range of conditions. I gave away all my miracle fabrics two years ago and will never wear them again.


Warmest but
I purchased one at the beginning of last year's season and found it to be the warmest top I have. It is even warm when wet. I bought a second one mid season because I was so impressed. The second one shrank in the wash (the first did not). Ideally do not dry in a machine, but what are you going to do on travel?


Replaced all synthetics with Icebreaker
This is an great midl ayer garment. What I like most about it is that the fit around the neck loose and not the least bit tight. I hate outdoor clothes that is constricting around the neck! The best part of the garment is the merino wool, which does not seem to become freezing when your activity level decreases. One not of caution: I have had a few other Icebreaker garment develop holes or rips along the seems. They were exchange without any problem. So keep your receipt
