The Marmot Rim jacket is the most waterproof, aerobically inclined jacket you'll find. The Rim is extremely breathable, so you can finish your workout in a downpour, without drenching yourself in sweat. Welded seams provide a waterproofness stitched seams can't match. Stitching pokes holes in the fabric, which then allow water to penetrate. Welding also eliminates the need for seam tape, which keeps the Rim super light. Pit zips allow ventilation and the stretchy PreCip Plus fabric ensures you'll be able to reach for the next hold with restriction from your jacket. When the rain stops, zip up the stash hood and get on with biznas. A sleeve stash pocket, hand pockets round out this super functional, techy looking jacket.

Good Rain Jacket
I like this jacket a lot, but I'm not sure I love it. There is one major flaw that frustrates me almost every time I wear it--the zipper gets stuck in the draft collar when it's zipped up to about my chest. When this happens, good luck getting out of this thing! The fit is pretty cute, but I wish it was roomier at the hips. It just seems so big in the arms/chest area, but small at the waist. I do love the pit zips (a must have in any jacket!) and the reflective detailing (I'm a sucker for safety). It also repels water very well. It really is an awesome jacket with only a few drawbacks.


Excellent Jacket!
This is a fantastic jacket. It got me through a two day endurance event in pouring rain and horrible wind. Great find!


Marmot Rim jacket (women's)
Love the fit and colour (a much brighter fuschia pinky purple than the photo implies)of the jacket. The hood is excellent in the rain - the large peak really keeps you in the dry - but when folded away the hood is very bulky for such a lightweight jacket and doesn't sit well. Haven't worn the jacket in any extreme conditions yet, but am so far unimpressed with the breathability... it became very clammy just at a fast walking pace on a wet and warmish day. Overall quite happy though!
