Mountain Hardwear Synchro Hooded Jacket - Men's

Great Jacket
I've only had my Synchro for a couple of weeks, but I've already had the opportunity to use it in various weather conditions and it has just been awesome. Whether you use it for pouring rain, a frigid blizzard, or just wearing it around town, it will keep you dry and comfortable. It's very light and has good room through the shoulders. It seems that the hooded Synchro was really an improvement over the original no-hood jacket from last year. The underarm vents and the taped seams are a few of the changes. The new waterproof zipper is a bit difficult to zip up, but that is bearable. I also find the fleece liner for the sleeves to be too grippy if I am wearing a long sleeve shirt or fleece layer underneath, making it a bit harder to take off. The quality construction is top notch like most Mountain Hardwear gear, and it's a great looking jacket. I find that I wear it more than anything else that I own.

Unreal
Skied in this jacket in negative temps in Colorado a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. All I wore underneath was a dry-fit shirt and a windproof long sleeve and I was warm. Jacket is 100% water/windproof and functions great. Only complaint is the fleece cuffs—perhaps on the next model Mountain Hardware could place a VELCRO synch there to assist with venting. Otherwise this jacket is bombproof.

Best Jacket Ever
I love this jacket. I've had the original unhooded version which was good, but this model has everything the other lacked. Hood? check. Pit zips? check. plus, the thing is freakin' waterproof. did i mention i love this jacket? the fit is a little larger than the unhooded model which is great for layering. only nitpick? the cuffs could use a hook and loop closure to keep wind and water out better while climbing. otherwise 5 stars!

it's good, kinda
I like the jacket, however, I was in Telluride, 40F, sunny, and a slight wind. Yet, with a poly pro under layer and a windproof mid-layer, I was still cold on the chair lift. I like the jacket, but if you're using it for skiing I'd recommend something warmer. On the plus side, good looks, lots of pockets, and it's nice and waterproof.

Synchro Hooded Jacket
Great softshell, works well in conjunction with a baselayer and vest for heat regulation in cold weather. Sheds snow, ice and rain without the soggy feeling of a regular hardshell. The hood fits over a helmet and fits around goggles for full coverage in bad weather.
