Oakley Why 8.2 Sunglasses

Brand : Oakley
Item : OAK0804

The Oakley Why 8.2 sunglass redefines minimalist. Made with rimless construction, with only small strands of C-5 alloy holding the optically pure Plutonite lenses together, the 8.2 practically floats. The C-5 alloy, a blend of five metals, is shaped to comfortably keep the Why 8.2s in place, with the help of Oakley's Unobtanium earsocks. The 8.2 proves that minimalist is sexy.

Oakley Why 8.2 Sunglasses

Expected Oakley quality
Pros: They stay on pretty good. Lens quality is superior. Lens hardness is very superior. No distortion evident at center/edges of lens. Excellent weight/balance. Last but not least, very spiffy looking :-) Cons: The nose pieces tend to be problematic after a year. As with any frameless sunglasses, flex develops on the bridge as it ages. Oakley's arm design can be improved: when arms are folded, ends protrude about 1/2" from the edge. While these protrusions are probably there to add strength while the glasses are worn, it would be a huge + if they could update this design to make them less protruding.
