Not snakebitten
This is soft, comfortable and high-tech. A great base layer or terrific around a drafty house with a fleece vest. Looks cool too. Great gear. But here's what you also need to know about it. Like many wicking synthetics, odor can be a problem with this shirt. Also, the fit is on the small side. If you're in doubt about the size to order, order up.
great fall layer
It keeps the wind out, the warmth in, and is very lightweight. A little too clingy to wear as a top layer (in public), but is comfortable and breathable. I have not yet needed to wash it, so I don't know how it will perform when laundered.
Pretty nice
This is a great very light weight fleece. It's really more of a T shirt than anything else. But it looks great and stays dry! It's less expensive than Merino wool and not quite as nice. But a good buy all the same!
Comfortable Top for Cool Weather
I've generally worn the Snakebite as a layer with a warmer layer underneath in cold weather (sub-freezing) for trailrunning, or by itself in cool conditions. I'm not sure why it's called a "fleece" top, as there's nothing fleecy about it. The fit is a bit snug in the arms, so I'd recommend ordering a size larger than normal. The shirt is also stylish enough to use as casual wear.
looks are not everything
Found the item to be really thin and would of liked it to be made of better material for performance gear. As for using it as a base layer I would not use this item. This should only be used if you have nothing else to wear. I would try something else.
