So good I bought my 3rd pair
So 3 pairs may be a little excessive, until you put them on. I have 2 pairs of last year's style, and there have been some changes with this year's. First, the sizing is more accurate. I wore a small in the '05, but I'm back to a medium with the '06. The only nitpick - the pant is a little longer this year. It says 33", but I'd say it's closer to 34". Simply put, the most comfortable hiking/climbing/lounging all-in-one pants I've worn. The breathability is great, which is a bonus since I live in them on week-long hikes. Definitely my favorite 3-season pant and a staple for casual workdays.


Very nice, but the fit is not perfect.
I'm 6'-1' 165 lbs, my waist is a full 32 and inseam 32~33. I decided to buy mediums based on the size chart but ended up returning them for large. The waist was too tight and length was just to the top of my shoes. The fit was a little slim too. The large is much better for me. I have the waist adjusted about 3/4 tight. The length is just slightly long, but with shoes on I don't step on the cuffs, and the fit is relaxed. Material is very light and has just a little stretch. The cuff roll up feature is a little lame as designed. I have only used them for light hiking but I can see they'll be really versatile and they look good enough to wear around town too.


prAna Stretch Zion Pant
These pants are great!! They dry fast and fit very well. I actually have two of each color! Great for traveling or just heading out, they breath very well too. Be careful with the lighter earth color it can stain with mud, but did come out with a couple of washings.


Prana stretch zion pants: best climbing/travel pants i own.
I now have four pairs of these pants, but frankly, I only need one. I'm not generally a big fan of Prana. I usually think their products are just too pricey for the utility, but these pants are an exception. I've had my first pair for three or four years now. they have been worn on 90% of the climbs I have done in that time. J-Tree chimneys, valley granite, you name it. Hundreds of days on rock and trail. More telling, when I spent a year traveling, I only packed two pairs of pants. I wore those zions near daily on seven continents over 12 months. Week after week of that time spent in tents and on rocks in Australia, Thailand, Patagonia, France, Utah, you name it. I put them to the test. They still don't have a single hole or fray. The fabric drys very fast, they stay cool, they wash easily, and they are very very durable. All this combined with the zip side and back pockets make them an ideal travel pant as well as a climbing pant. Frankly, if they fit you, it's worth the money. This is the best single piece of clothing gear that I own.


Excellent climbing pants
These pants are very well designed and work excellent for climbing. I wear them all the time from spring 'til autumn. They are a bit pricey, as all prAna products, that's why the only get a 4.
