Rossignol Bandit B4 Alpine Ski

Brand : Rossignol
Item : ROS0052

The Rossignol Bandit B4 joins the Bandit line-up where the B3 sat in the past, with the same dimensions as the former B3 (122/94/112mm). Don't fret, B3 lovers, the B4 is as rock-solid as your favorite ride of old. The B4 is focused on steep lines, deep pow, and mach speed. Featuring Rossi's FAT Free Absorber Technology, which integrates an aluminum plate and vibration dampening materials into the ski, the B4 turns with edge-to-edge precision and responsiveness. With a solid 94mm underfoot, not only do you get incredible float but also nice wide landing pads. Should you find yourself billy-goating around Alta, it'll turn on a dime, so you can straightline between that big rock and the dead tree. Thick sidewalls and continuous edges give you added peace of mind both in the backcountry and inbounds.

Rossignol Bandit B4 Alpine Ski

did it and doing it again!
Last season I got lucky, very lucky! I lived in Alta, Utah and was able to have one to the very first B4's by Rossignol in the USA. Don't ask how just listen: These are the very BEST ski I have ever owned! (I have been skiing for over 25 years). The float of these babies is perfect and they handle the groomed and crud with carving that is quick and pushes you through the turn with a nice stiff tail. I own the best skis in the world! Don't walk—run to get yours! You will love them! I did and will again this season!

Great ski...sometimes.
These versatile boards are super stable, and super quick. They will manage anything and everything you throw at them; they will hold a super stable edge on the bluest ice and float over the deepest corn and crud, they are just as at home in the steeps as on the piste. But there's a but, and it’s a very very big BUT. The marketing team at Rossignol tell us these things are designed for the backcountry, throwing images at us of guys skiing big lines and launching off big cliffs, using words like "elite" and "for team riders", but I think the accounting team got in the way. The construction isn't up to "everything you can throw at it"...it sure as heck isn't "elite". Sure these things are awesome when they hold together - it's when they fall apart that I question things. I've managed to lose two edges from these skis now, and that doesn't fill me with confidence when I'm flying down a face so fast my helmet is trying to pull my head off (in case you're wondering, there were no rocks involved, just hard skiing on hard, icey snow). Apparently, Rossignol's aren't using enough glue when they fix the edges, and then the base, to the ski - and that's making them vulnerable. Maybe the accountants said to the designers - "to make more money, hey, let's use less glue". Or maybe the guys in the factory were just having a bad day. But anyway. And, don't expect Rossignol to stand behind their product, all my emails to Rossignol in France went unanswered. But I wasn't that surprised. uiksilver Corporation is a big company with a stock price to focus on, they don't want the hassle or distraction of sorting out a defective product and looking after a customer. Luckily Backcountry gave me a replacement pair after 4 months of me haggling them and their CEO (pity the season was over by the time I got my new pair). Thanks Backcountry. Sure you might 'reach the unexplored' on these Bandits. But you might have to walk home.

I like the green ski
I spoke with a Rossi rep last winter when they came out with this new ski and it sounds like it is pretty much the same skis as the old B3 but a little stiffer and more stable (some new plate technology) All I can say is that the B3 is flat out the best ski I have ever owned and if the new one is a bit more stable on hard snow, I might need a pair of these sticks.

Rossy B4's
First pair of Bandits I have owned. Will not need to look further. Float in the pow and lightning quick on the groomers. Fantastic.

B4 bandits
just ripped up late freshies at A/SB- very sweet, plows through the deep, and carves big when stepping on it, evens handles "skier's" bumps- just be on your toes, very impressive

Rossignol BC Create It Alpine Ski

Hordes of Rossignol skiers submitted artwork for the new Rossignol Scratch BC Create It Alpine Ski and nothing but true skier inspiration made its way onto this backcountry jibber. The Create It carries the same construction as the Scratch BC WRS, with just a little bit more soul on the topsheet.

Salomon Sandstorm Alpine Ski

Take the Salomon XW Sandstorm Alpine Ski out on the mountain for big line domination and killer strength, which straightlines chutes as well as it tears down the groomers.

Dynastar Legend 8800 Alpine Ski

You know the Dynastar Legend 8800 alpine skiits an Intuitive Big in the Witness Protection Program. The torsionally stiff dynamics of the 8800 will straightline steeps or roll quickly from edge to edge on corduroy.

Dynastar Big Trouble Alpine Ski

Dynastar introduces the Big Trouble Alpine Ski. The Big Trouble eliminates the need for a quiver by covering all terrain in all directions.
