Rossignol Bandit B2 Alpine Ski
Brand : RossignolItem : ROS0054
The Rossignol Bandit B2 Alpine Ski is a mid-fat that'll get you where you're going on any mountain—from the East Coast to the Cascades. The B2 will float through pow when you're out West and carve the clear blue ice of the East. If you hit a few bumps along the way, it'll suck those up too. Plenty of sidecut lets you roll the B2 over and stand on it for a powerful carve. Rossignol's Free Absorber technology increases ski-to-snow contact, so you'll feel a smooth, solid arc devoid of chatter. An aluminum insert in the tip of the ski, which Rossignol calls Shark Nose technology, increases torsional rigidity for more control at high speeds. This allows the ski to blast through the chopped snow without being deflected. When you have the urge to explore the trees or hit up some steeps, the B2 is ready with ABS sidewalls and thick continuous edges. Should you traverse over a scree field or stomp on a stump, injuring your skis will be the farthest thing from your mind. Instead, you'll be thinking about how much fun you're having off the groomers.

Rossignol Bandit B2 Alpine Ski
your spy thinks it's kickass!!
I've tried various skis for the past 5 years, demoing them and comparing them before I buy them because I wanted to find the skis that would do it all, plow through crud, slice through ice , float on powder, carve like a super-G racer, short turns, long turns, moguls are no sweat. Like an SUV on crack!! There's really no better way to describe it, except I bought them about 5 months ago!! I've tried Salomon X-scream series, Cross Max10, pilot 10, Atomic C-9.18, Atomic R 11.20,K2 Axis x, and many more. I have been a fan of Salomon for over 7 years but I got to give it to Rossi's Bandit XX this time. You can really push the skis to the most challenging terrains and you'll find yourself in love with it. Man...Rossi should pay me for this!! Good luck JamesBond007
B2s in Summit County in December
Out of all the skis I've demoed so far this season the B2 has been my favorite. The B2s were quick, responsive, energetic, playful, and easy to control. They held a tight line with no problem even in steep trees. There wasn't much powder on the day I tried them so I didn't get to get to see how they float, but they were very forgiving and gobbled up the crud like a fat kid with a popsicle. I was the most impressed with the B2s in the bumps. Quick and lively, they powered their way past all the other freeride skis I've tried in the moguls. Twin tips turned out to be more of an advantage than I had imagined and they also allow you some playtime whether you're in the park or not. On courdoroy at mach 3 they were a little unstable but who really enjoys riding courdoroy anyways? I still have a few more skis to demo but I'd be very surprised if I end up picking something other than the B2s.
Impressive ski
I demoed these at Wolf Creek in Colorado and they performed great. An excellent all around ski that is easy to turn and goes where you want it to. They really have a satisfying rebound when carving a turn and look absolutely great. They're probably more suited to someone who spends the majority of time on groomers, off-piste they loose their charm when the powder gets deep, though they are still no slouch.
Holidays in the 'Hole
I spent nine days in Jackson, we had 4 feet of snow. I only skied steeps and the Hobacks and used B2(182) only. They’re outstanding, it’s hard to go wrong when you can make turns anywhere! I did not hesitate on stuff where courage was usually required. Major confidence builder! I bought a pair after six days of rentals. I was always a Rossi fan and loved the old 7XK's, but I had skied Salomon X-Mountain, Screams, and Chilli series skis for last five years, I would still like to try B3.
Good at everything
I ordered a pair of B2s at 174cm. At first, I thought the 78mm waist would be a little wide for groomers and moguls, but these performed better than my old Salomons, which had a 71mm waist. I was very surprised at how well they performed in moguls. They are very stable in crud and never get deflected. The ride is very smooth and damp. They also had a decent hold in icy conditions. I haven't got a chance to test them in powder yet, but I'm sure they will do well.
