Spyder Alpha Component Jacket - Men's

Brand : Spyder
Item : SPD0302

A removable fleece liner gives the Spyder Men's Alpha Component Jacket enough versatility to take on your ski day, whether the sky is bluebird or hailing. Zip in the fleece liner jacket for extra warmth in brutally cold conditions, or take it out for a beautiful spring ride. The Alpha Component Jacket's critically seam-taped, water-resistant shell fights off snow flurries, and a removable hood lets you customize the weather protection to match the conditions. Spyder also added pitzips for extra ventilation when the thermometer at the lodge reads 20-degrees higher than you'd like.

Spyder Alpha Component Jacket - Men's

Gift
The jacket is great. It is warm, waterproof, layered... It's a nice green color too. My father loves it.

awsome jacket
I bought this jacket about a month ago. I have wore it in temps. down to 10 deg F. with just a t-shirt and it kept me warm. Tough to top this quality - great looking all around awesome.

HUGE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!!
I was a little unsure as to what I would be getting quality wise. I'm used to mountaineering brands such as The North Face, Patagonia and marmot. Wow, have I been missing out. The detail on this jacket is fantastic. For instance, it has a powder skirt. Well, so what right? The skirt neatly zips into the jacket when your not using it. But, that is just one of many many features built into the jacket. In addition to all the little bells and whistles, this jacket is extremely versatile. With the component fleece zipped in it is WARM. How warm? Good enough to handle 30 below celcius plus a windchill in Saskatchewan. With the component liner out it has enough venting to keep you comfortable on the warmest spring day. My one criticism with this jacket is that the component fleece jacket does not have a drawstring at the hem. That said, because of the way the jacket is made would be very easy to add. The waterproofing is where some Gore-Tex XCR snobs may complain. It is seam taped, however, and will keep you dry and looking good at the resort. If you still aren't sold, consider the carbon neutral policy of the manufacturer Spyder which means the jacket is not only comfortable on the body but comfortable on the soul.
