The North Face Redpoint Optimus Jacket - Men's
Brand : The North FaceItem : TNF0760
The North Face Men's Redpoint Optimus Jacket is a true take-anywhere coat for all conditions. Throw it on for a quick trip to the grocery store, stuff it in your pack for a back-up insulating layer on a backcountry ski tour, or wear it every day at the resort. Seamless construction makes the Optimus ultra waterproof and super light. PrimaLoft insulation keeps you warm with low bulk, while the HyVent shell keeps you dry. HyVent waterproof kiss coating on the hood, shoulders and top of the arms prevents water penetration where flakes hit first. The rest of the body is superlight and breathable ripstop nylon. Speaking of warm and dry, when the blizzard of the century hits, throw up the hood and laugh at the elements. Plenty of pockets add to the Optimus' versatility. *Not Available for Shipment to Canada.

The North Face Redpoint Optimus Jacket - Men's
Excellent!
I should have had one of these a long time ago! This has got to be one of the best multi-purpose jackets on the market. From walking the dog to the fell tops of England, I have not had it of my back. Climate control inside the jacket can be pinpoint with chosen baselayers. The extra HyVent on the hood shoulders keeps the rain on the floor and not inside. Superb!!!
Simply Amazing!
The North Face Redpoint Optimus Jacket is in a word, AMAZING. In more than a word, the jacket is an excellent insulator that is extremely lightweight with a soft feel. Unlike the standard Redpoint Jacket, the Optimus has a hood that is essential for the body to retain heat, and it is highly water resistant. Don't be fooled by its light weight, the jacket more than makes up for its weight in its warmth. In sum, one of the best North Face jackets available.
Great lightweight jacket
I originally wanted the McMurdo Parka, but as winters seem to be getting milder every year in the UK, this jacket fit the bill. Super lightweight, waterproof, and warm. The amazing thing about the jacket - it can stow away in itself and end up being fitting in the palm of your hand. Perfect.
Extremely warm and lightweight
This jacket is absolutely warm. I am able to wear a T-shirt in 20 degree weather without being cold at all. The fit is snug, so I would recommend you to order a size larger than what you would normally wear.
Warm! Cozy!
I have always wanted a down jacket that didn't make me feel like the "stay-puff marshmallow man" and the redpoint is the way to go. The jacket is so warm that I can wear it around when temps are in the teens. I haven’t had a chance to wear it in ugly stormy weather but I imagine it will hold up extremely well. My only complaint is the cover material is a little too thin. I poked a very small hole in the sleeve material with a stick that made more damage to my arm than it did to the jacket. Stupid stick!
