great shorts
These shorts are perfect, very comfortable, durable, and they dry really quick. A bit on the short side but what I look like while I climb is not my priority.

I had to have a pair of these shorts since the ones I wore last year were so great and I expected these to be just as comfortable. However, as often happens a company will take a great product and supposedly make marked improvements. Not so in this case. Except for the light weight material, most of the characteristics that I loved in last years design are gone. For example, the inseam is longer and zippers have been replaced by Velcro. Ultimately, these shorts are more cumbersome and feel heavier. I will wear these shorts, but I hope that the north face company recognizes that newer is not always better.


Great Shorts
Light, comfortable, drawstring waist, plenty of pockets. Pockets aren't "ejection pockets" like a lot of shorts. Great deal.
