Kalmine Canvas Pants
Definitely my favorite pants. I have worn them rock climbing, deer hunting, and to class. They are comfortable, tough, and still look good.

Great all-around Outdoor Pants
I just returned from a 2 week backpacking/camping trip to Big Bend NP in southwest Texas. The North Face pants I ordered came true to size and fit me very well (I usually wear 32-30 and the sizing for these pants was spot on). I wore the pants almost every day on my trip. The pants are not quite as thick a material as I was expecting, but they held up without any cuts, pulls, or other signs of wear. All stains, etc washed right out and they look as good as new. Extremely comfortable pants - would highly recommend.


Great pants, sizing is a pain
These pants are great for backpacking and hiking. They are roomy enough to provide freedom of movement, but feel secure and fit well with the built-in adjustable web belt. They are cool in warm weather, yet extremely durable. I wore them for 5 days straight on an extended pack trip and had no complaints at all. A couple of minor issues: (1) The length sizing is odd. The regular length is too short for me, and the long length is too long. I consider myself pretty standard size (5'11", 33 inseam), and it bugs me when pants have limited length selection. I ended up getting the long and washing/drying the crap out of them until the shrunk about 3/4 of an inch. They still were long, but that's better than too short in the thick brush. (2) The web belt is very thin and tends to twist inside the sleeve. They really should have installed a wider, more flexible belt.


Kalmine Canvas Pant
I was looking for a cotton-based relaxed-fit utility pant with extra security pockets. The material is nice and they have a relaxed cut, but I found the side pockets too low -around knee height- so anything heavier than a piece of paper rattled against my knees when walking. Other than that, a nice comfy pant.
