The Cryostat features a three-point snap-in system, allowing easy reach-in access and making it one of the most versatile jackets available. Wear the synthetic insulated liner alone in cool, dry weather, the shell in warmer, wet weather, or quickly snap them together for full-on storms. Mesh gusset vents dump excess heat, while a gripper powder skirt and pant-to-jacket locks keep snow from spraying up your coat or down your pants. NOT HAPPY - 3 MONTHS LATER
Zipper broke and now inside liner is ripping - North face couldn't send me a replacement zipper pull, so they want me to return the jacket to have the zipper replaced. Next time, its Mountain hardware for me!!!

Well I must say the pictures don't do this jacket justice.The quality is seen through out.Very warm and fits better then I could ever hope for.Looking for a quality jacket- you found it -and it's warm to battle the elements.
