The North Face McMurdo Parka - Men's

McMurdo parka
I have ordered 2 of these jackets. Large was too big for me so I sold it to a friend and ordered medium. It is the best buy I have done, warm, waterproof and awesome for cold Norwegian winters. Quick shipping and good service. Keep it up. Pål-Fredrik. Norway

McMurdo Parka
Excellent choice for protection from severe elements. Too heavy and bulky for strenuous activity. A++ for commuting, spectator sports etc. Will keep you warm and dry during coldest wind, snow, sleet etc.

McMurdo
It is 14 degrees today in Chicago, and I am warm and comfortable. This coat is the best investment to keep the chill off. It's fashionable but very practical. Don't go out in the freezing cold with out it.

too much velcro
Great jacket, too many Logos. Far too much Velcro: on the sleeves, in the flaps of the external pockets (three), in the internal pockets (three), and on the hood (five). It took me two hours to get rid of all that wool shredding stuff! At least the zipper wind flap uses snaps. Why couldn't they use snaps all over? Great down jacket with a great hood otherwise, just remember to remove the Velcro before it eats your sweaters, gloves and hats.

McMurdo
I own several North Face down jackets, and they are all outstanding as far as warmth, comfort, fit, and quality of construction. My only criticism of this jacket (as well as the Sherwood) is that when you cinch up the hood, you get a delightful view of your toes. There is no adjustment on the back of the hood to compensate for this; a rather strange oversight from a company that clearly puts such a great deal of thought into their products. Aside from the minor oversight, I have nothing but the highest praise for this jacket.
