Vasque Pingora Approach Shoe - Men's
Best Approach shoe!
These shoes edge very well, are very comfortable, and can be tightened all the way to the toes for climbing shoe type fit. The rubber on these is super sticky, but appears to wear very well (I have had mine for 4 Months and they still look great).
Great look, but maybe not for hiking
I was attracted to this shoe because it looks great and I thought, "this is me." But the shoe is narrow around the forefoot. Of course, maybe that's the way an approach shoe is supposed to fit and I thought I'd use it for hiking! I don't climb and if this shoe is supposed to be narrow and tight around the forefoot to help with climbing then I am in the wrong. Great finish and wonderful craftsmanship, though, I would go a half size up.
Third Time A Charm
I liked these shoes so much after the first pair that I order the last two pairs in my size when they went on sale.
Excellent Fit
I find these shoes true to size. I have a wider foot so most shoes are tight in the forefoot before I stretch them out, but with the extended laces I adjusted these and they fit great out of the box. One of the only pairs of shoes I've ever owned that fits this well out of the box. Great shoe, great fit.
Pingora Approach Shoe
These arrived quicker than I expected and I could use them right away. The fit was just fine. I launched into a 4 day trip in the southern Rockies, including carrying a heavy pack and technical climbing, and only had to use one pair of shoes. The edging is pretty good in these and having Stealth rubber means there just isn't much that can go wrong. Thanks for offering a superior shoe at such a competitive price.
